I have been following Senior Brother Sun Yinxuan for a long time, but my practice was always sporadic and ineffective because the previous methods were too difficult for me. However, this time the Yangyuan Technique is very simple to perform.

Additionally, influenced by the WeChat public account “Last Night Full of Stars,” as of the time of writing, he has truly persisted with the Hundred-Day Foundation Building and reached day 39, so I also want to try the Hundred-Day Foundation Building.

And the third point, I have been somewhat free lately, only needing to prepare for graduation, so I have relatively ample time to practice.

For these reasons, I started the Hundred-Day Foundation Building challenge last night, and below are my feelings from last night.

Main Text

Actually, the day before yesterday I stayed up all night and only went to bed at seven in the morning yesterday, so I was listless the entire day. I started practicing during the noon nap but fell asleep after a while without much feeling. I slept for about two hours, and after waking up I felt much better, but my head was still empty.

Last night before bed, I practiced again. I got into bed at 11:30 pm, and when I was drowsy and almost asleep, I looked at the clock—it was already 1:30 am. Without realizing it, I had practiced for two hours???

The biggest feeling during this time was that I simply could not follow the video sequence starting from the Dan Zhong acupoint to nourish the five viscera going downward. I have many spinal issues—from the sacrum to the thoracic spine to the neck—they are all blocked and painful spots. As soon as I directed my attention to the Dan Zhong, my spine pulled my attention away.

Remembering the video mentioning such situations, I went with the flow and addressed each point one by one. So I started with the sacrum. My sacrum was originally empty, and after some time it was filled, but it was still emptier compared to other places. But I was no longer in such a hurry and continued to move up the spine segment by segment.

I reached roughly the T5-T8 thoracic region: between the right ribs and the spine, there was a long painful spot. After focusing on it for a while, the pain eased. But surprisingly, it connected to the front chest area—it felt like an arrow shooting from the chest into the back. The entire path hurt, but the front was much better compared to the back. It seemed the problems appeared in the back first, then the front.

Going further up to the T1-T5 region, right next to the left side of the spine, this was an old problem, lasting at least five years and worsening. Unlike the stabbing pain below, this felt like a mass of congestion that wouldn’t disperse. It had been persistent for a long time but slightly improved. This area too connected the front chest to the back, like an arrow perfectly reaching the heart region. My heart had been uncomfortable for a long time, but I didn’t expect these two areas could actually connect.

During this process, I occasionally experienced muscle tension and pain in the lower limbs, especially the right hip, but after sitting with it for a while, it became okay. Compared to the spine, it improved much faster.

Later, while practicing, I became drowsy and fell asleep. When I woke up the next day, my head felt very empty and dizzy. I thought it was caused by insufficient sleep before, so I didn’t think much of it.
