68. Dry Houttuynia

Brewed in water, it smells like tea, and tastes like tea too, but is thicker and slightly bitter.

Effect: Clears damp-heat and turbid toxins throughout the chest cavity, mainly targeting the lungs, with the heart as secondary. It travels down along the Ren meridian, flushing toxins into the bladder for excretion.

69. Golden Buckwheat

The taste is a bit special, like a certain fruit, but after several sips, I couldn’t quite recall it. Eventually, the closest thing I could think of was loquat seeds?
(Loquat seeds are toxic, so please do not try them rashly. I am just very curious and want to taste everything.)

It is mildly sweet upon entry, with a slightly bitter aftertaste, and lightly irritates the throat.

Effect: Primarily affects the lungs, with about 30-40% effect on the stomach.

70. Large Blood Vine

The decoction pieces look very nice, somewhat like candies at a tourist spot candy shop, that sliced candy feel. After brewing, the color darkens, and it looks less appealing.

Slightly bitter with a distinct astringent taste. Acts on the lower abdomen, primarily clearing, and also has a mild effect of promoting intestinal peristalsis. The lower abdominal area feels slightly numb and tingling, which may indeed promote blood circulation.
