1. Background Introduction
In 2023, I launched a manual therapy course: Orthopedic Eight Methods & Qi Transformation Hands: Manual Therapy from Beginner to Mastery.
Many might think the course was simply brilliant and rewarding, but for me, it held extra significance—before the manual therapy course, I only taught the “companions” of Longxitang Chinese Medicine Guild. After this “public class,” I fully opened my mind.
I must admit, I have some perfectionist tendencies, so when delivering “knowledge output,” I often thought: “Either don’t learn from me, or if you do, learn it completely.”
To make sure everyone patiently studies the theory and the nature of the mind, when drafting the teaching plan for the guild, I placed the classics 《Su Wen》, 《Ling Shu》, 《Nan Jing》, 《Zhuangzi》, 《Analects》, 《Tao Te Ching》, and 《I Ching》 upfront, interspersed with clinical skills like pulse diagnosis, acupuncture, manual therapy, and prescriptions that can be used directly upon learning.

What happened next, everyone knows—due to clinical demands, I moved the manual therapy course earlier and expanded the teaching scope to “everyone.”
After class, I noticed no guild member who finished the manual therapy quit; instead, some secretly urged me to speed up the 《Zhuangzi》 course continuation.
Come to think of it, if the classic courses are captivating enough, naturally everyone will develop a taste for them, so why would anyone stop classic studies after clinical courses?
On the other hand, if someone doesn’t cultivate the Dao body and instead wants to be purely an “instrument,” learning some high-level practical techniques from me to enhance their “instrument’s” performance is also very worthwhile.

So, why open a pulse diagnosis course now?
After the manual therapy course, many students came for follow-up diagnosis. Seeing their furrowed brows and resolute eyes while feeling pulses, sometimes I couldn’t help but ask out of curiosity, “What problems have you found?”
But in most cases, they shyly smiled and gave vague descriptions like “string-like pulse” or “slippery pulse.”
Watching them try patients’ pulses repeatedly, I fully understood that without guidance, most of them would never enter the door of pulse diagnosis in their lifetime, nor would they know the decision-making chain behind my prescription formulation—shadowing, taking pulses, copying prescriptions—though diligent, is simply wasting time without achievement.
Though I claim to be indifferent, I am not completely cold-hearted; under such circumstances, I felt compassion.
Coincidentally, a few students asked me if I could teach pulse diagnosis, so I agreed smoothly.
The final date was set for April 14, 2024.
2. Course Introduction
This pulse diagnosis course mainly divides into three parts.
1
Review the pulse diagnosis texts from 《Huangdi Neijing》 and 《Nan Jing》, introducing the origin, underlying principles, and philosophical methods of “taking pulses” as a diagnostic technique. (1.5 hours)
![]()
2
Focus on explaining the “Whole-body Pulse Method” from the Pulse Essentials Treatise (《脉要精微论》). Lectures combined with hands-on practice, making every part and each sign clear, so participants can “understand in their minds and feel it under the fingers.” (3 hours)

(Currently my most commonly used pulse method in clinical work)
PS: Previous content will be briefly touched this time, so before attending, you can check this article: Principles and Practical Approach of Pulse Diagnosis (also to see if this system suits your taste).
3
Lead participants to a preliminary experience of the internal landscape pulse method, not aiming for high mastery on the spot, but aiming for a “0 to 1” breakthrough, allowing them to see deeper truths. (0.5 hours)

Transmitting pulse diagnosis without transmitting prescriptions is like fooling people—no matter how precise the diagnosis, ineffective treatment is useless.
When preparing the course, my old habit of “if I speak, I must speak thoroughly” relapsed.
Originally, I planned to reveal the Thirty-six Golden Prescriptions publicly after the 《Zhuangzi》 course, but this time, a core, frequently used part will be disclosed early. (3 hours)

The recent patient meeting introduced some, see Patient Meeting Lecture Record—Free Release part one’s “Longxitang Eight Extraordinary Techniques.”
Simply put: The Thirty-six Golden Prescriptions are primarily for foundation building but are very effective in treating various modern deficiency and damage diseases; 90% of clinical cases fall within this system, which is very practical.
No need to sing praises or call me “someone who made a decision against our ancestors.”
Chinese medicine has no secret formulas, Chinese medicine has no secret formulas, Chinese medicine has no secret formulas.

Many so-called family secret formulas originally came from some ancient books, and those books may be available to anyone today.
However, this does not mean “secret formulas” lack value; the value lies in their proven and reproducible efficacy—in today’s information explosion era, mastering some “secret formulas” greatly reduces trial-and-error and learning costs.

The above chart shows diseases I currently treat relatively well. This course plans to teach the highlighted parts, namely: hypertension, high blood sugar, high blood lipids, high uric acid, atrophic gastritis, ankylosing spondylitis, colds, coughs, difficult-to-treat acne, stubborn sleep disorders, various types of rhinitis, uterine fibroids, premature ejaculation, and various deficiency and fatigue-related subhealth states.
From pulse diagnosis to formulating treatment plans, then to clinical delivery precautions—foolproof teaching—enabling everyone to truly apply pulse diagnosis in clinic and deeply understand pulse diagnosis (and how to establish positive doctor-patient relationships).
Treating just one of the above diseases can secure your livelihood; if you can also gain insights from treatment plans, such as resolving the so-called divergence between Fuyang (supporting yang) and clearing heat, your cognition will elevate to a new level, making your future limitless.

For other diseases, we will find time later. Rest assured, everything will be made public.
3. Speaker Introduction
The speaker introduction part from the last manual therapy course was arrogant and aloof, following a cool style. But if I do that every time, once the pattern is figured out, it’ll no longer be cool.
So this time, here’s an outpatient clinic introduction.

5. Conclusion
My currently most used Whole-body Pulse Method from 《Pulse Essentials Treatise》 is rooted in teacher Liu Bing from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.
Looking back to 2012, I was fortunate to meet Teacher Liu at Teacher Qu’s clinic, and since then I have had reliance in academics, clinical practice, and life conduct.
When I first shadowed diagnosis, the teacher hardly had time to “explain while diagnosing,” so I had to feel the pulse myself and look for corresponding information from the teacher’s pulse books. I worked hard to grasp ambiguous fragmentary knowledge.
It wasn’t until attending the Peking University Traditional Chinese Medicine Society lectures where Teacher Liu systematically taught the pulse method that my thinking became clear—this is the origin of why I say “teaching + shadowing diagnosis” is better than “just shadowing.”
After finishing the course, you are also welcome to visit my clinic to deepen your mastery of pulse diagnosis and prescriptions through practical cases.
Back then, Teacher Liu guided me; I hope this course can continue to provide some inspiration and help to future learners.
End of text.
