Introduction
Huoyan Fang is a clinical prescription for treating acne by Chief Physician Zhang Guangzhong of the Dermatology Department at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Hospital. It is currently in the stage of scientific and technological achievement transformation. Combined with modern preparation technology, more user-friendly acne care products Huoyan Gel and Huoyan Essence have been developed. This study aims to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Huoyan Gel and Huoyan Essence in treating moderate acne and to provide a basis for improving the preparation process.
Enrollment Requirements
- Meet the diagnostic criteria for moderate common acne, primarily papules + pustules, with acne mainly on the facial area;
- Age between 18-35 years, any gender, duration of illness not limited;
- Able to complete 3 follow-up visits (over 4 weeks) at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Hospital;
- No use of retinoid drugs such as adapalene gel in the past 6 months, no systemic use of hormones in the past month, and no topical use of hormones or antifungal drugs within the past week;
- Not concurrently participating in other drug clinical trials.
