217. Salacia Fruit

Large lychee pit size, the water brewed from it tastes quite similar, sweet on the entry, then bitterness and astringency arise after holding it in the mouth, leaving a gritty sensation in the throat.

After drinking, a straight line sensation runs from the stomach-duodenum area down to the perineum and testes, with a sense of connection throughout. About 30 seconds later, discomfort starts in the stomach, somewhat like the feeling after eating too much garlic, indicating a rather strong medicinal property.

Efficacy: Unblocks the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), the intestines and stomach, the lower abdomen, and perineum to testes (it should also work for gynecological purposes, but due to physiological limits, I cannot speak to this and do not intend to focus only on the male perspective).

218. Chinese Chive White (Xiebai)

Looks like a small garlic bulb, tastes somewhat like garlic scape when eaten, with a pungent nasal sting after chewing :face_with_steam_from_nose:, also affecting the brow ridge and temples somewhat. Brewed in water, the taste is sweet and a bit greasy, slightly intoxicating, leaving a bitter aftertaste similar to the sensation after eating raw garlic.

After drinking, it primarily clears the heart and lungs, then moves downward to the stomach; the skin also feels the sensation passing through, with slight sweating.

Efficacy: Unblocks the heart vessels, lung vessels, relieves stomach fullness, disperses exterior turbidity.

219. Aristolochia Stem Vine (Tianxian Vine)

Stem and vine of Aristolochia, slightly toxic.

220. Areca Peel (Dafupi)

Brewed in water, a sour-sweet taste with some astringency, slightly bitter; after swallowing, the throat feels a bit rough.

After drinking, obvious expansion in the epigastric area, accelerated bladder filling, lower teeth feel slightly sour—the lower teeth are governed by the Large Intestine Meridian of Hand Yangming; the sourness indicates that the Qi in the large intestine area is being extensively drawn away. Upon closer inspection, this Qi is being stolen by the chest cavity; the lungs feel slightly distended, which is unpleasant. At this moment, the Qi surging into the lungs is probably in a chaotic state, which is not good. Simultaneously, there is slight stagnation in the pericardium (as per Western medicine’s pericardium); during deep breaths, there is one sticky point that does not move.

Efficacy: Stimulates the appetite, promotes urination, steals Large Intestine Qi into the chest, causing disordered Qi in the chest.
