III. Registration Instructions

  1. Online registration time: January 22, 2024, to February 4, 2024, 24:00. No late registration accepted.
  2. Before online registration, candidates must carefully read the “National Medical Examination Network User Privacy Policy,” “National Medical Examination Network User Service Agreement,” and related candidate commitment clauses, and click “Agree” to continue logging in and registering.
  3. Candidates must fill in personal information (including name, ID type, ID number, graduating school, education level, years of study, major, internship institution name, etc. Military candidates should use their Resident Identity Card for registration; Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan candidates may use the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Resident Residence Permit or Resident Identity Card) truthfully, accurately, and validly. The information provided will be used for the Physician Qualification Examination and physician practice registration. Candidates must fill out carefully. Candidates who cannot register normally due to invalid ID documents will bear the consequences.
  4. Candidates should properly keep their username and password. If registration information is modified due to personal reasons and leaked credentials, the candidate is responsible. If the password is lost, candidates can retrieve it via email, so please provide a valid email address accurately. Military candidates should register and enroll using the Resident Identity Card.
  5. Other registration requirements:
    (1) Candidates must prepare a recent (within 6 months) small 2-inch white background ID photo for online registration. The file must be smaller than 30kb and in jpg format. The photo can be uploaded directly through the instant ID photo collection mini-program provided on the page or through the “Medical Examination Registration Photo Detection Tool” (download link is indicated on the photo upload page) for offline detection and processing before uploading. The registration system does not accept photos uploaded by other means.
    (2) Candidates applying for the rural general practice assistant physician exam must meet the rural general practice assistant physician registration qualifications.
    (3) Candidates applying for additional exams in short-track medical specialties must meet the clinical category physician exam qualifications and work or intern in pre-hospital emergency or pediatrics.
    (4) Candidates who are military and armed police officers, military and armed police soldiers, or military civilian personnel may take additional military medicine exams.
    (5) Candidates with non-mainland degrees from Hong Kong must undergo on-site verification at the Shenzhen test center; those with non-mainland degrees from Macau must undergo on-site verification at the Zhuhai test center; candidates with non-mainland degrees from Taiwan may voluntarily choose a nearby test center for on-site verification.
  6. After successful online registration, candidates must print the “Physician Qualification Examination Online Registration Success Notice” and attend the on-site qualification verification at the local test center within the specified time. The on-site qualification verification time is subject to the local test center’s notification. Failure to verify qualifications, confirm registration information, and pay exam fees within the specified time will invalidate the registration.
  7. Materials candidates need to submit for on-site qualification verification:
    (1) “Physician Qualification Examination Online Registration Success Notice” (if information is modified after successful registration, candidates must resubmit and reprint the notice; the original online registration success notice will be invalid).
    (2) Original and photocopy of valid personal ID. Valid personal ID (must be valid during the exam period) includes second-generation Resident Identity Card (if expired, temporary ID can be used but must complete replacement promptly); Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan Resident Residence Permit or Resident Identity Card (for candidates from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan); passport (for foreign candidates).
    (3) Original and photocopy of graduation certificate. Candidates with non-mainland degrees must also submit the “Foreign Degree Certification” issued by the Ministry of Education Study Abroad Certification Center.
    (4) “Physician Qualification Examination Internship Evaluation Certificate” issued by the candidate’s internship (or practice) institution. Candidates from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and foreign countries must also submit the “Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau Residents Participating in the National Physician Qualification Examination Internship Application Review Form” or “Foreign Personnel Participating in the China Physician Qualification Examination Internship Application Review Form.”
    (5) Assistant physicians applying for the practitioner physician exam must also submit the original and photocopy of the assistant physician “Physician Qualification Certificate” and “Physician Practice Certificate,” as well as the “Assistant Physician Application for Practitioner Physician Practice Period Assessment Certificate.” (If there are changes during practice registration that cause the registration period not to meet the required years, the initial practice registration certificate must be provided.)
    (6) Candidates whose employer is a medical institution must also submit a photocopy of the institution’s “Medical Institution Practice License” duplicate.
    (7) Candidates applying for traditional medicine apprenticeship or specific expertise category physician exams must also submit the “Traditional Medicine Apprenticeship Completion Certificate” or “Traditional Medicine Medical Skill Special Expertise Certificate.”
    (8) Recent graduates must fill in the “Fresh Medical Graduate Physician Qualification Examination Application Commitment Letter.”
    (9) Active-duty military candidates must provide original and photocopies of related military identification and a certificate from the regimental-level or above political department approving the examination.
    (10) Recent (within 6 months) small 2-inch white background ID photo.
    (11) Candidates participating in pilot online auxiliary verification test areas must provide qualification verification materials truthfully and accurately according to the requirements of the test area and center.
    (12) Other registration materials as required by the test area and center.
  8. Candidates must bring the required registration materials to the local test center for on-site verification. Approved candidates must carefully check each word of the “Physician Qualification Examination Registration and Physician Qualification Application Form” for personal information. Once signed and confirmed, no changes are allowed. This information will be used for physician practice registration management. Candidates are responsible for errors caused by personal reasons that affect the exam or physician practice registration.
  9. Candidates providing false registration materials will be dealt with in accordance with relevant provisions of the “Physician Qualification Examination Discipline and Violation Handling Regulations” once verified.
