Haldane Effect in the Oxygen Dissociation Curve

Oxygen (O2) binding to hemoglobin (Hb) promotes the release of carbon dioxide (CO2), while deoxygenated Hb readily binds with CO2. This phenomenon was formerly known as the Haldane effect.
