208. Chuan Lian Zi (Fructus Meliae Toosendan)
It smells quite fragrant. Very hard, not easy to crush. The brewed water tastes bitter with a hint of sourness; aside from the bitterness, it is actually quite pleasant to drink.
The cold nature is not obvious. After drinking, the flow quickly reaches both livers, more noticeably the left liver, slightly weaker on the right liver; there is a clear sensation of the left liver moving upwards and the right liver moving downwards. Then the sensation transmits to the lower abdomen, which feels mildly numb and tingling. Combined with “chest-abdomen-waist breathing,” the unblocking effect is indeed good.
Efficacy: Soothe the liver and promote qi circulation, unblock stagnation in the lower abdomen.
209. Wu Yao (Lindera Root)
Has a tea fragrance upon entry, bitterness quickly rises, with a slightly sweet and greasy aftertaste accompanied by a bit of cool sensation.
Indeed has a warming property, concentrated in the lower abdomen, and the area above the lower abdomen and below Jùquè (Ren-14) is also somewhat affected.
Efficacy: Warm and unblock the lower abdomen (including but not limited to uterus, adnexa, bladder, prostate).
210. Qing Mu Xiang (Root of Aristolochia)
Root of Aristolochia, mildly toxic.
211. Lychee Seed
The taste is not bad, sweet with a bit of astringency, but when crushed finely there is a slight sourness akin to spoiled lychee. When eating fresh lychee, you can collect and soak the seeds to compare whether 100% fresh lychee has this flavor.
This herb is quite remarkable; after drinking, the testicles immediately feel a slight swelling, and the groin and both livers also swell slightly.
Efficacy: Unblock the liver meridian, treat hernia and various testicular conditions.
