IV. Recruitment Procedure
(I) Information Release
Recruitment information will be publicly announced via the official website of Hunan Medical University First Affiliated Hospital (www.hyyfy.cn).
Notifications and announcements regarding shortlisting, written examinations, interviews, and physical examinations will also be posted exclusively on the hospital’s official website. No separate notifications will be issued; candidates must monitor the website regularly. Failure to attend any scheduled activity on time will be deemed an automatic withdrawal.
(II) Application Process
-
Application Period: January 24, 2024, to 5:00 p.m. June 30, 2024. Recruitment will close upon reaching full capacity.
-
Application Method: Online application only. Applicants must log onto the official website of Hunan Medical University First Affiliated Hospital (www.hyyfy.cn), navigate to the “Talent Recruitment” section, and submit their application through the “Application Portal.” Each applicant may apply for only one position; multiple applications will result in disqualification.
-
Required Application Materials: All documents must be scanned in original form and uploaded. Applications missing required materials or containing incomplete submissions will be deemed invalid.
(1) Valid ID card (front and back);
(2) Academic degree certificates (from high school onward); for current graduates who have not yet obtained degrees, a certified Online Verification Report of Academic Status (with two-dimensional verification code) downloaded from the China Higher Education Student Information Network (CHESIN) is required (must be valid at time of submission);
(3) A certified Electronic Registration and Verification Report of Academic Degree (with two-dimensional verification code) downloaded from CHESIN corresponding to the highest academic degree held (must be valid at time of submission), or an official academic credential authentication report;
(4) For physician positions: valid Medical Practitioner License and Medical Practice Certificate (must be within active registration period); certificate of completion of standardized residency training (or official proof thereof, bearing the official seal of the training institution, including contact person and telephone number); applicants holding the title of attending physician or higher must provide certification of their professional technical title;
(5) For positions requiring a specific academic specialization: official proof of specialization, stamped by the applicant’s graduating department;
(6) Any additional materials specifically stipulated in the job description.
- Additional Requirements:
(1) Applicants’ academic degrees must be officially recognized by the Chinese government. Degrees obtained overseas must be authenticated by the Ministry of Education’s designated credential evaluation agency. All academic degrees and authentication reports must be obtained no later than July 31, 2024. Certificates of completion (or proof of passing scores) for standardized residency training, if required by the position, must be obtained no later than December 31, 2024. Failure to meet these deadlines will result in disqualification from examination or employment.
(2) In cases where applicants submit multiple applications on the hospital’s official website, only the most recent submission will be considered valid.
(3) All submitted materials must be authentic and valid. Failure to submit required documents by the deadline or submitting incomplete documentation will be treated as automatic withdrawal. Should errors in self-reported information lead to failure in qualification review, responsibility rests solely with the applicant.
(4) For this recruitment, no distinction is made between professional master’s/doctoral degrees and academic master’s/doctoral degrees.
(III) Qualification Review
Applicants’ online applications will undergo qualification review according to the requirements of each position. The list of qualified applicants will be published on the hospital’s official website. Qualification review is conducted throughout the entire recruitment process. If, at any stage, an applicant is found to fail to meet the position’s eligibility criteria—or to have submitted falsified documentation—their candidacy will be immediately disqualified.
(IV) Examinations
- Examination Schedule
Examinations will generally be held monthly, depending on application volume and hiring progress. Exact dates will be announced on the official website of Hunan Medical University First Affiliated Hospital (www.hyyfy.cn).
- Minimum Application-to-Quota Ratio
The ratio of applicants to vacancies should normally be no less than 3:1. For exceptionally scarce or highly specialized positions where achieving this ratio proves difficult, candidates scoring below the minimum passing score of 60 points on the written exam will be disqualified from proceeding to the interview stage.
- Examination Format
A combined written examination and interview format will be used. The written exam serves as a screening mechanism for entry into the interview stage. Final selection will be determined solely based on interview performance rankings (highest to lowest).
Senior-level professionals (e.g., associate or full professors), doctoral degree holders, and master’s degree holders from “Double First-Class” universities may proceed directly to the interview upon successful qualification review. Master’s degree holders from universities ranked among the world’s top 100 in any of the four major global university rankings—QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Ranking, or ShanghaiRanking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities—are considered equivalent to “Double First-Class” master’s degree holders.
-
Written Examination: All qualified applicants must take the written exam, except senior-level professionals, doctoral degree holders, and “Double First-Class” master’s degree holders, who are exempt. The exam is closed-book and primarily assesses subject-specific knowledge, scored out of 100 points.
-
Interview: Candidates selected for the interview will be determined based on ranking of written exam scores, at a ratio of 1:3 relative to the number of vacancies per position. In case of tied scores, all tied candidates will be invited. If the number of applicants falls short of the required ratio, all applicants will proceed to the interview. Senior-level professionals, doctoral degree holders, and “Double First-Class” master’s degree holders proceed directly to the interview.
The interview includes self-introduction and Q&A sessions with the panel, assessing language expression, logical reasoning, comprehensive analytical ability, and personal presentation, scored out of 100 points.
- Passing Score Thresholds
All positions require a minimum passing score of 70 points on the interview. If no candidate meets this threshold for a given position, that position’s recruitment quota will be canceled for the current cycle.
- Identification Requirement
All candidates must present their original ID cards when attending written exams and interviews. Applicants whose ID cards are lost must present official identification documents issued by local police authorities, bearing their photograph.
- Preparation Guidance
No official study guides or preparatory materials are designated for this examination. Neither the hospital nor any third-party organization provides or endorses tutoring services or preparatory courses.
(V) Physical Examination
Candidates will be selected for physical examination on a one-to-one basis, ranked by descending interview scores. The examination standards follow those outlined in the General Standards for Civil Servant Recruitment Physical Examinations. Should a candidate fail the physical examination or voluntarily withdraw, one replacement candidate will be selected from the remaining pool, ranked next by interview score.
(VI) Public Announcement
Final candidates for employment will be determined by the hospital’s Party Committee after reviewing interview results and physical examination outcomes. The list of proposed hires will be publicly announced on the hospital’s official website for seven working days.
(VII) Employment and Benefits
Upon successful completion of the public announcement period without objections, formal employment procedures—including contract signing and probationary period implementation—will commence. The probationary period is included within the overall employment contract duration. Upon satisfactory performance evaluation at the end of the probationary period, permanent employment will be granted; unsatisfactory performance will result in termination. Candidates who pass all stages but fail to complete employment formalities and sign contracts within the stipulated timeframe will be deemed to have automatically withdrawn and forfeit their eligibility. Hired personnel will receive benefits commensurate with those of existing staff in comparable positions.
V. Unspecified Matters
Any matters not explicitly covered herein shall be handled in accordance with national and Hunan Province regulations. Interpretation of related policies rests with the Organizational and Human Resources Department of Hunan Medical University First Affiliated Hospital.
