Many often criticize the current medical conditions in China, reminisce about barefoot doctors, look up to Western medical systems, praise the Cuban system, and blame capitalism.
As my knowledge expanded, and after watching this series of videos, I gained some understanding to a certain extent:
- Why is China’s medical insurance undergoing reform? How is the reform being implemented? What are the results of the reform?
- Are the good things we heard really that good? Are the bad things we thought really that unbearable?
- Have the solutions we thought of never been considered or attempted by anyone else?
A core viewpoint mentioned by the uploader: Reform is a redistribution of interests, meaning there will be winners and losers; current evaluations may be high while future evaluations may be low, or vice versa, but regardless, facing new problems requires new approaches.
