Recently, I saw a group message:
Dear teachers and students, the university library has purchased the iReader Premium Book Collection (150,000 titles), offering free reading and audiobook access! The university invested heavily in this resource, and we’re concerned that if usage remains low, the subscription may not be renewed next year. Therefore, please make full use of it—and feel free to invite friends to join us in reading!
I recalled how envious I used to be when other universities purchased JD.com’s e-book membership, granting free access to many books. Back then, I couldn’t afford it, so I even borrowed accounts from others.
This year, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine has finally joined in! ![]()
A quick comparison with WeChat Reading reveals one standout advantage: the availability of textbooks published by China Press of Traditional Chinese Medicine—definitely worth registering for.
- WeChat Reading offers an extremely incomplete collection of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) textbooks (previously more were available, but now they’re nearly impossible to locate via search), and accessing them requires a paid membership.
- iReader offers both completeness and free access!
So what are we waiting for? Let’s dive right in!

Only a few 14th Five-Year Plan textbooks appear in search results (previously more were found, but now they’re mysteriously gone). Moreover, accessing them requires a paid membership. Many textbooks only appear under the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016–2020).

So many titles—and all free!
