202.1 Juhe (Orange Seed)
Bitter, with a sweet aftertaste of orange, but unfortunately the bitterness is overwhelmingly strong.
The qi-regulating effect is mainly concentrated in the lower abdomen, so it can treat cold hernia abdominal pain, orchitis, uterine prolapse, and pelvic inflammation; drinking a few more sips can also make you feel a slight sensation of qi movement in the chest.
202.2 Juluo (Orange Vein)
Actually quite pleasant to drink, clear and sweet, with a slight powdery texture similar to that of Ma Bo (Calvatia).
Effect: The phlegm-resolving ability is quite definite, especially for eliminating phlegm in the throat. The two herbs Ophiopogon japonicus and Juluo are enough (including the posterior pharyngeal wall and postnasal drip). For hoarseness, you can add a little Platycodon root as appropriate.
202.3 Juye (Orange Leaf)
Smells somewhat like mulberry leaves, tastes like drinking water at first with almost no flavor, but once the tongue curls, the citrus harmonious bitterness surges up.
Effect: Moves qi and eliminates turbidity; it is effective for qi stagnation and hypochondriac pain, and can also clear turbidity from the liver and gallbladder.
