Three years ago, when I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I realized that my classmates—fellow students of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for five years—were gradually embarking on divergent life paths. It was then that I produced and released the first episode of this channel: Vol. 1: Two Novices Reflect on Their Four Years Studying TCM (Click here to listen).
Now, as I am about to graduate with my master’s degree, my classmates have long since drifted further apart along their respective paths—each living a uniquely vibrant life—and I truly rejoice in their accomplishments.
Meanwhile, many undergraduate and graduate students in lower years remain deeply uncertain: unsure of what they truly want, or how to move forward. They sense, vaguely, a goal—to strive, to work hard—but where exactly should they go? And how can they rise?
I cannot directly answer this question—but I hope to illustrate some possibilities through authentic stories.
Starting from zero foundation, you might pursue clinical practice, research, or even the path of XX.
This will be an interview series in which I invite former classmates who studied TCM alongside me, and ask them: Where are they now?
I’ll ask them: Why did you choose this path—and why not that one?
I’ll ask them: What did you see along the way? What did you give up—and what did you gain?
I’ll ask them: What would you say to your younger self?
